Sorry there has been a lack of cards lately, lots going on but also the old back has given up again so I can’t sit for very long. This getting old is rubbish lol.
Anyhoo, the theme for this months Die-ing for a Challenge is SPRING, so what better stamp to use than Spring is back by Sarah Kay. I have used those gorgeous Pion Design papers again, and a sentiment from the Whimsy Lovely Spring Sliders sentiments and accompanying Slider die .
I went a bit crazy with the colouring on this one, it took me hours as I was experimenting with the background (a lot of lunch breaks went into this one). So the colours used are
Skin – the usual E11, 00, 000, 0000, R30
Hair – E29, 25, 23, 50
Peach – YR02, 00, 000, 0000, medium flesh pencil
Jeans – E42, 41, 40, W00, French grey 50%
Basket and contents – E33, 31, 30; 17, 15, 13, 50; C3, 0
Ground – E33, 31, 30, C5
Foilage/shading – BG96, YG67, 63, G40, 20, BG90, 0
Sky/shading – BG72, 70, 000, 0000, 90, 0
The embellishments are from Wild Orchid Crafts – silk ribbon, organza ribbon, pins, brads, pearls, cottage rose, 20mm roses, 15mm roses, 10mm roses.
I also embellishing the TH Butterflight die by punching out some Martha Stewart butterflies, glittering them, loading them up with pearls and then plonking them over the TH butterflies. Quite like the effect even if it is a tad OTT lol.
I kept the inside simple, think there is more than enough going on on the front.
Hope you will join our challenge this month, the prize is awesome ![]()
